Conference Venue

ICOME-14 will take place at Schloss Au, a gorgeous neo-baroque villa located on the Au peninsula. Au belongs to the municipality of Wädenswil on the southwest shore of Lake Zurich and is within easy reach from Zurich (ca. 25 minutes by train).

To get there from Zurich main station (Zürich HB), you can take the S8 train bound for Pfäffikon and get off at "Au ZH". From there, you can follow the signs that indicate "Tagungszentrum Schloss Au" (see map below for the directions from Au train station to Schloss Au).

The three rooms in which the presentations and plenary talks will take place are: Trotte 1&2, Dachzimmer, and Seeparkzimmer.

The coffee breaks, lunches and Morris dancing will take place in the main hall. Please note that no food is allowed in the conference rooms and that drinks other than water are allowed only if they are in closed containers (such as travel cups).

In addition to the main building of the conference center, we will have access to the private bathing house of the venue, with direct access to the lake (see slideshow above). Water temperature in ealry June is expected to be between 15°C and 22°C, which means that you are more than welcome to pack a swimsuit and enjoy a quiet and relaxing moment there.
