How to get there?
- From Schloss Au, walk to Au train station to take either train S8 (in direction of Pfäffikon) or bus 121 (in direction of Wädenswil Bahnhof).
- Get off at Wädenswil Bahnhof.
- Then, take bus 126 (in direction of Wädeswil, Hintere Rüti via Campus Grüental) or Bus 128 (in direction of Wädenswil, Feld via Gulmenmatt).
- Get off at Wädenswil, Winterberg.
- The restaurant will be 5 minutes away.
Alternatively, it is a 35-to-40-minute walk, uphill.
Saturday, 6th June: Excursion to Einsiedeln (CHF 50.-)
We will visit the Abbey and walk a stretch of the Way of St James, following in the footsteps of medieval travelers. Note that places for the excursion are limited.
- 9.03: S8 from Au ZH / 9.10: S13 from Wädenswil
Travel to Einsiedeln by train (included in the fee) - 10.00-11.30 Guided tour of the Abbey
- Lunch (self pay)
- 13.30-14.30 Manuscript viewing in the Scriptorium
- Walk on the Way of St. James to Trachslau (5.5 km, ca. 1.5 hour) - be prepared to tell a story on the way!
- ca. 16.00 Coffee at Café Tändli in Trachslau (self pay)
- ca. 17.00 Take a bus or walk back to Einsiedeln, journey back to Zurich
